THE (NEW) SET - Inspired by the needs of modern man. The Ermenegildo Zegna XXX Summer 2022 Fashion Show curated by the Artistic Director Alessandro Sartori.

The protagonists go from one world to another through “gashes in the fabric of the universe” exploring the subconscious parts trying to escape the randomness of events that seems to push them towards a terrible and inexorable future. Finally, they will find themselves moving forward in time by comparing themselves on different sensory levels to rediscover the path of liberation in a positive future.

The nocturnal labyrinth is a suspended place that binds our characters in a timeless space as if blurred and without contact, a place of waiting before a real Re-Action.

They will soon realize that they have inadvertently crossed the threshold of a labyrinth that metaphorically speaks to us of our historical period.

Going into it means, in fact, embarking on an unknown path with no indications that allow you to orient yourself. Our characters, however, do not give in to a sense of disorientation: instead of appearing lost, they abandon themselves to the corridors of hedges, getting lost and finding themselves, chasing each other in a game of mirrors that seems to follow one another endlessly.

It’s night. The models continue unstoppable.

They face with patience the tangle of blind corridors in search of a way out of the labyrinth, they enter the dark forest of their soul by exploring the dark sides of their unconscious, above them a starry sky opens where shooting stars illuminate the their path. They overcome the fear of the unknown and emerge from their tortuous path as if reborn.

The night is over and the darkness has given way to the light of a new day.
The dawn becomes familiar and warms the day, a symbol of optimism and a newfound harmony.

We see them gradually come out of the labyrinth happy to experience this rebirth together.

From here begins a parallelism told in alternating montage of daytime labyrinth and city. The models begin one by one or in groups to find the way out to the city that represents a future of liberation.

Here in this new context, we see the characters in different liberating situations where they can finally feel emptied of the emotional emptiness that appensates them.

At the height of this liberating moment, we finally find them reunited in a real sharing of an ideal moment where human contact is the glue of harmony and freedom to look at the future in a positive way.

A hymn to the joy of living, happy to have found each other again.
We now see them sitting and enjoying the show in an outdoor cinema while observing themselves somehow changed and regenerated.
